Crazy Al's Tee
Crazy Al’s transitioned from a small family pizza restaurant featuring local Indiana talent to a showcase for regional and national acts in the early 1980s. Amazing bands like the Go-Go’s, Joan Jett, the Cramps, the Suburbs, and X played the club. Local and regional talent including the Zero Boys, Randy King and the Positions, the Race Records, Bohemia, Elvis Brothers, and many others entertained a devoted following of New Wavers, Punk Rockers and many who just came to hear something quite different than most other clubs. Every night was a fashion show! Even the club’s giant tv showing new music videos was groundbreaking here in town. Alas, while the flame burned brightly, the club died on April Fool’s Day in 1982. Long live Crazy Al’s.
